Echo is a version of
ping for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It works by sending a series of small pieces of information, called "ICMP Echo packets," to a specified Internet-connected computer. It measures the time taken for the computer to respond, and lets the user know that time for an arbitrary number of packets.
